|
|
hello to all
Just found an interesting site with some nice parametric surface formulas...
http://arbuz.uz/u_bottle.html
I can't read the names of the figures because i cant read russian,
but you know, a picture say more than thousand words...
----
I simplified this formula:
X = cos(u)*(4+3*sin(v)*cos(u)-3*sin(2*v)*sin(u)/2)
Y = sin(u)*(4+3*sin(v)*cos(u)-3*sin(2*v)*sin(u)/2)
Z = 5*sin(u)*sin(v)+5*cos(u)*sin(2*v)
With U[ -pi, pi] And V[ 0, 8]
---
name = peakhill
X = u+v
Y = v-u
Z = (u*u+v*v)^0.5-1*sin(u)^6*3*cos(v)^6
With U[ -9, 9] And V[ -8, 8]
---
btw. I know that will be some work...
would be great to load formulas direct from a textfile
into the edit fields.
Gerd
ps. another page is http://arbuz.uz/u_3dgrapher.html |

Hi all,
Thanks for the link . Parametric surface are very beautiful and easy to compute, however there formulas are more "difficult" to create than isosurfaces (from my point of view). _________________ Cheers,
