Hi everybody,
I'm a hobby mathematician and like to create 3D object sucg as shere,
hyperboloid....from analytic geometrie.
Three days ago I downloaded K3dsurf.
My question how to enter the formules:
example cone: x^2/4+y^2/9=z^2/9
I did the following:
push edit en typy
F(): x^2/4+y^/9-z^2/9
(x):-4,4
(y):-4,4
(z):-4,4
the I saved it to examples in K3d directory.
Then I loaded it an push compute.
Every time I got an error : Premature end of string.
Or have you to enter formules directly in the freen box on the left???
Can you help me??
Thank you
albert

Hi Albert,
Welcome to the forum. You can either enter your formula directly in the green area on the left (see screen-shot) or save your formula in a file and load it with the "Load" button. Just copy the following text and save it in a .k3ds file (for example "cone_1.k3ds" )
Quote: | Name: cone_1
F(): x^2/4+y^2/9-z^2/9
[x]: -4 , 4
[y]: -4 , 4
[z]: -4 , 4

Hi,

Then you have only to do this: click the "Edit" button .
A new window will appear with the formulas inside it. you can save this in a file (for example "cone.k3ds") by doing: "File"->"Save As..."
Hope this can help _________________ Cheers,
