Hi all;
Welcome Abdelhamid and keep up the good work Cool
Sorry for my late response.
I was also impressed by the work of Abdelhamid he sent me by email and asked him to subscribe in the forum to share it with others.
You can use the language of your choice Abdelhamid and I'll try to translate if you choose the Arabic Smile

Hi abdelhamid

As I see your surface collection is growing and growing...
Really nice work!

The 2 helix surfaces are some basics.
Please can you publish the formulars of this Helix and the Double Helix.

hi all , hi my friend inode Smile
the Helix :
Code:
F(x,y,z)=(sqrt(x^2+y^2)-3)^2 +(atan2((y*cos(2*z)-x*sin(2*z)),(x*cos(2*z)+y*sin(2*z)))/2 )^2 -1
x:[-4,4] and y:[-4,4] and z:[-6,6]

the Double Helix :
Code:
F(x,y,z)=(sqrt(x^2+y^2) - 3)^2+ ( atan((y*cos(z)-x*sin(z))/(x*cos(z)+y*sin(z))) )^2 -1
x:[-4,4] and y:[-4,4] and z:[-6,6]

Generally
u = x * cos (n * z) + y * sin (n * z) and v = y * cos (n * z)-x * sin (n * z)
and
(sqrt (x^ 2 + y^ 2)-a) ^ 2 + (atan2 (v, u)/n) ^ 2-R ^ 2 = 0
a, n : real numbers
More generally Writing :
f( sqrt (x^ 2 + y^ 2)-a , atan2(v,u)/n )=0
For example :
abs( sqrt(x^2+y^2)-a )+abs( atan2(v,u)/n )-b=0 or
( (sqrt(x^2+y^2)-a)/b )^100+( atan2(v,u)/(n*b) )^100-1=0 .....Etc

Hi Abdelhamid,
That's a wonderful structure and you are a master of the CSG (Constructive Solid Geometry) Cool . For those who don't know it, Abdelhamid has a lot of great realisation with K3DSurf and a solid background in mathematics (university degree). We hope you all the best in your carrier and thank you again or sharing with us some of your work. Smile

hi all Smile

Sometimes I can not believe myself:

I would say k3dsurf is not just a computer program and is not just for drawing but it is a new part of mathematics, it is amazing thank you very much Taha.

Hi abdelhamid,
That's a very original and exciting idea: a "dead nature" 3D painting with K3DSurf Smile . It still need only some good apples to make it real...
Here is a good starting point for an apple looking isosurface (still need some work on the shape and the leaf )

Quote:

Name: IsoApple
F(): (sqrt((x*x+y*y)/((z+6)/5))-1.3)^2 + z*z/4 -1.7
[x]: -3 , 3
[y]: -3 , 3
[z]: -3 , 3
;

Keep up the good work Cool

Hi Abdelhamid,
Congratulation Abdelhamid, your work is really stunning Cool
You've already the building blocks for much more complicated mathematical scene and we are eager to see what's next .
