Generating a Cleaner 3d-mesh pattern in ISO surfaces?

I wonder, for a few years now, if any thought has been given about, generating code that produces a consistent 3-point mesh over any IsoSurfaces, instead of the current disjointed triangular mess that is currently output by K3dSurf. Attached is a comparison of how Grasshopper a Rhino addon computes and deals with a 3-point mesh pattern.
