Noise/Turbulence and the mathematical model calculation:
Noise and turbulence effects can be applied not only to solid texture calculation but also to the mathematical model itself.
Here are my first experiments with this new tool

The 3D "Crackle" effect:
The first two images show the "Crackle" effect applied to the "Schwarz" mathematical model.
This effect is achieved by using new Noise functions in the mathematical model description:
{
"Iso3D": {
"Name": ["Schwarz"],
"Varu": ["A=cos(u)"],
"Component": ["Schwarz"],
"Fxyz": ["Ax+Ay+Az-NoiseW(x,y,z,1,3,0)"],
"Xmax": ["4"],
"Xmin": ["-4"],
"Ymax": ["4"],
"Ymin": ["-4"],
"Zmax": ["4"],
"Zmin": ["-4"]
}
}

hello nextstep
i am very happy.
your new fonctions are fantastic !!!!
it's possible to make the same in v 2.3?
and , it's possible to have a toolcut
ex cut ( at the same of netfabb prog) , on the middle of objet
verticaly or the oppposite with hight precision?
ex ( for a sphere, you optain a demi spere)
(In parametric mode, for the moment, if you change x, y , z options , you can cut the model in one size but, you cannot have the same for the opposite " verticaly or horyzontaly and it's not very clean )

Hi denisc,
Infortunately you can't do this with v2.3 but you will in v2.4 (maybe it will be called v3.0).
For the cut tool, you probably mean something like the "Cut Grid" tool in K3DSurf? As I said in this thread (By Math Passion), it' ll be implemented soon or later. Meanwhile, you can use the real "super tool", the "CND" equation to cut/hide part of your model.
If you master the CND tool, no other tool can do the job of cutting your model better than this one. _________________ Cheers,

Available only with parametric surfaces since MathMod-3.1:
