I'm planing to develop a simple tool for late primal- and high school students called MathPainter (working title). I'm hoping I'll be able to push it through authorities and gain some kind of support from the ministry of education.
For now I'm concentrating on developing simple algorithms for some eye-candy images. Try it if you can. I suppose many iso surfaces will have nice cross sections, the possibilities will be limited, but not very much I suppose.

I'll be grateful for Your participation. Looking forward to see your codes Smile

For now I've suspended my math art output because I'm finishing my paper and preparing for finals. However I intend to continue on this project on March.
I've asked my friends for participation but noone seems interested. That felt quite disappointing.

A friend of mine has suggested that I could start a workshop for kids. Without the software background it's not gonna happen. And I'd prefer teaching this to math teachers so that they could teach the kids.

This project should be international. So I'm probably gonna ask Mathworks or Wolfram first. The MathPainter should be able to show 3d surfaces which is extremely helpful when developing new concepts.
I'll keep you posted Smile

Anyway, this could be a nice way to promote this project.

How are things coming along with your project?

It looks quite promising.

What are your current goals and plans?

I haven't tried any official channels but among friends, colleagues or any potentialy interested, I met indifference.
For the time being I'm gonna concentrate on new simple algorithms, educational animations and large scale projects, so that one day I'll be able to show the interested party where all this endevour can potentially lead. I have some amazing ideas and I recently resurrected my render so I'm expecting new images soon Smile

You're very welcome to try new algorithms too, you know Smile

I am really happy to hear about your idea. I am very excited to know how you are going to execute it. Math is my weak subject, so any innovation in this field would be great for students like me. Most of the time I am taking assistance from somewhere in order to carry out my maths or accounting projects. Last day I navigate to this web-site and get my essay. But I hope after some inventions in this field, I can improve my maths skill.

Hello there,
I recently learned about SciLab http://www.scilab.org/
which is almost identical to Matlab and it's free. I'm planning to devote my evening time to my graphics and decided to use SciLab for MathPainter.
http://furan.sweb.cz/2D/mathpainter.m Copy it into *.sci file and try something Smile

I will eventually add a HowToBegin manual for students and a list of useful subroutines.
