You're right Glennsullivan some changes give you completely different shapes have another taste 
| Code: | abs( sqrt(x^2+y^2)-3 ) + abs(z)-1
[x]: -4 , 4
[y]: -4 , 4
[z]: -1 , 1 |
| Code: | max(abs( sqrt(x^2+y^2)-3 ) +abs(z)-1 ,
(1.3*(sqrt(x^2+y^2)-3))^2+(1.5*z)^100-1 )
