I tinker quite a bit with K3DSurf and its often frustrating thing. It would be most helpful if (even bare bones) documentation were available for this great program.
Any chance that this will happen in the not too distant future?

Hello,
The big problems for the a Doc are :
1) My english is still too bad
2) Mathematical subjects in K3DSurf are too large to be treated in depth.
However I know that it's important to have a minimal documentation and I'm working on it. Meanwhile, there is a section for questions related to the use of K3DSurf and don't hesitate to ask.
Also, K3DSurf is much more easy to use than understand the mathematics behind it and that's because our primary objectif is to bring mathematics to non mathematicians _________________ Cheers,

Hi again,
I just take a look on your website and it's full of math beautys...
I'm wondering what kind of math questions you need after that for the use of K3DSurf ? _________________ Cheers,

Well... I'm not sure what to say. I really like K3DSurf, but would like to learn how to use it better. I'd be happy with any documentation. Translating it to English would be secondary. My native language is Spanish and I often translate narratives to English. I'm sure that if its in a Romance language that I can find some one at my college to help with the documentation.
I can undestand what you mean about not want to explore in depth the mathematical aspect of the program. However, is it your intention not to explain the rudimentary functioning of the program?
Thank you for your kind words regarding my site.
Saludos,
Manny |

Hi,
Thanks and I'll let you know when it comes to translation . For the use of K3DSurf, believe me, the best way to learn how to use it better is by trying it first...the right questions will comes after that.

No, I just want people to discover mathematics by themself. K3DSurf is "only" a tool that I created to explore new worlds and I make it available for others to do the same, at there own pace and by following there own way. K3dSurf will not teach you mathematics, it will only ;
1) Make you like it more by showing examples.
2) Give you a good tool to go as far as you want in exploring the mathematical world.
Some people are already using it in ways that I didn't think about it and me too I'm still learning evey day from there experiences

Thank you too for your excellent website. How about adding it in the section "New Mathematical Objects" ? _________________ Cheers,
