Hi all,
I want to bring your attention to some new and amazing features in MathMod.
For this, you have to take a closer look on these two examples: Moon and Moon2
Moon:
Quote: |
{
"Iso3D": {
"Description": [
"This is a Description"
],
"Fxyz": [
"((x-4*sin(t*pi/3))*(x-4*sin(t*pi/3)) + (y-2*cos(t*pi/3))*(y-2*cos(t*pi/3)) + z*z - .6)*min( (x-4*sin(t*pi/3))*(x-4*sin(t*pi/3)) + (y-2*cos(t*pi/3))*(y-2*cos(t*pi/3)) + z*z - .6, z) +0.2",
"(x-4*sin(t*pi/3))*(x-4*sin(t*pi/3)) + (y-2*cos(t*pi/3))*(y-2*cos(t*pi/3)) + (z-.2)*(z-.2) - .6 ",
"(x-2*sin(t*pi)-4*sin(t*pi/3))*(x-2*sin(t*pi)-4*sin(t*pi/3)) + (y-2*cos(t*pi)-2*cos(t*pi/3))*(y-2*cos(t*pi)-2*cos(t*pi/3)) + (z-.2)*(z-.2) - .1"
],
"Name": [
"Moon"
],
.....
}
}
|
Moon2:
Quote: |
{
"Iso3D": {
"Fxyz": [
"(Ax + By+ z*z - .6)*min( Ax + By + z*z - .6, z) +0.2",
"Ax+ By + (z-.2)*(z-.2) - .6 ",
"Cx + Dy + (z-.2)*(z-.2) - .1"
],
"Name": [
"Moon2"
],
"Varu": [
" A=(u-4*sin(tm*pi/10))^2",
" B=(u-2*cos(tm*pi/10))^2",
"C=(u-2*sin(tm*pi)-4*sin(tm*pi/10))^2",
" D=(u-2*cos(tm*pi)-2*cos(tm*pi/10))^2"
],
....
}
}
|
The two examples are almost exactly the same but in the Moon2 example, we used some variable changes :
Quote: |
"Varu": [
" A=(u-4*sin(tm*pi/10))^2",
" B=(u-2*cos(tm*pi/10))^2",
"C=(u-2*sin(tm*pi)-4*sin(tm*pi/10))^2",
" D=(u-2*cos(tm*pi)-2*cos(tm*pi/10))^2"]
|
For the Moon2 example, This leads to :
1) A much smaller Mathematical model expression.
2) A fast processing by MathMod: To see the result in action, go to the drawing area and hit "p" in the keyboard (to lunch the morph effect) _________________ Cheers,

Hi Abdelhamid,
Sorry I didn't mention that before...I'll include a tutorial and a documentation in the stable release.
Also, you can use the "a" key to lunch the rotation. These are the only keys available right now in the drawing window.
I Hope you`ll like it so you can make some stunning results like those you did with K3DSurf. One thing is sure, MathMod is far more extensible than K3DSurf and this is only an Alpha version so...stay tuned _________________ Cheers,
